Neutralisation, dechlorination

According to the French Public Health Code - Article R1331-2, dated 15/02/2009, concerning the discharge of water from swimming pools without risk to the environment, you are obliged to neutralise your water before discharging it into the environment.

Over the course of the season, you'll probably need to clean your water line, wash your filter or drain all or part of your pool. This means you'll have to dispose of some of your pool water in your garden or directly down the drain. First of all, make sure that your water no longer contains any biocide agents before discharging it.
